Gods, Myths & Mortals

Travel back to ancient Greece within immersive intersecting environments. The everyday activities of the ancient Greeks are experienced in a temple, a Gymnasium and an Oikos (home). The story of Odysseus comes to life in three parallel interactive experiences. Families follow an illustrated life-size game board that takes them through the story. Along the journey six interactive kiosks test your knowledge. Stops along the path lead into the Cyclops cave, the Sirens cove karaoke, and when you arrive home to your palace you must fight off suitors in a game of wack-a-mole. Greece’s impact on the modern world is experienced through several hands-on activity stations.

Collage and watercolor illustrations of the gods are layered with flat graphics traced from ancient artifacts to form a consistent graphic aesthetic throughout. The scenic elevations, digital screens, interactive interfaces, signs, floor graphics were all designed in-house.
