Graphic Design and Art Direction

for environments, print and digital media.

Most of my work has been created with a team of talented developers, writers, artists, and designers. I take the story and translate it into a myriad of graphic applications to support the experience. As Art Director I focus on the macro, making sure the experience is cohesive with moments of surprise. As a Graphic Designer I focus on the micro, making sure none of the details are neglected. I design graphics that can be hung on the side of a building or held in the palm of a hand and everywhere in between.

Design Educator

I have been teaching Graphic Design as an adjunct professor for more than 15 years. Because of my professional experience in environmental graphics, I have been able to work with faculty cross departmentally to educate students studying 3D environments with 2D graphic design skills. My work is collaborative and I share that spirit with my students, encouraging them to challenge each other, share resources, and build networks. I enjoy teaching because I have a passion for sharing the potential of art and design—and the potential in every student.

As a founder of several programs with the AIGA/NY I have created opportunities for high schools students transitioning into college, and for college students transitioning into the professional world. Mentoring high school and college students one-on-one has allowed me the deeper opportunity to help individuals discover their potential. Additionally, I coordinated conference sessions with other museum professionals to share my experience designing for the family audience.
